CLICK the Shutter Snapped

Fine Arts My fingers clutch around the camera body, its weight resting in my hand. My eye relaxed but fixed, I gaze through the eye piece and observe every detail in frame. My left hand slowly rotates the zoom ring, shifts slightly, then moves to the focus ring until the image falls into place. In… Continue reading CLICK the Shutter Snapped

Facts Married Fiction

My toes wiggled as I giggled, listening to Larissa Thompson narrate my Puffin Explorers series audiobook (available on Audible). Making sure each word from the audiobook matched the new eBook version of Iceland: The Puffin… Continue reading Facts Married Fiction

Sharing the Dream

The galloping heart in my chest was the least of my concerns. I swallowed boldly and whispered sweet nothings to my stomach, begging for it to forgo the summersaults. Book Review: Once Upon the Rhine

This is an amazing book review for my little book: Once Upon the Rhine! Check it out!!!

SheySaints

Summary

Once Upon the Rhine is the first book in RA Anderson’s Cody the Cockatrice Series. It’s a children’s fantasy adventure story about Cody, an extraordinary hybrid cockerel-dragon and protector of guardian children. His kind is mostly known as a cockatrice, but the children don’t believe in them anymore. Cockatrices are invisible if children don’t believe in them, so Cody has been worrying for 50 years because he hasn’t had a guardian child for that long, and that maybe a sign of extinction. But when Brody, an American kid who’s on a tour with his family around the city of Basel sees Cody, his despair turns to hope.

Review

I got this in paperback and it looked so beautiful! And when I read it, the content was even more wonderful! Every chapter just makes you want to read the next one because the characters are too interesting and adorable. Cody’s…
